Here at the Tui brewery we've been turning out keg after keg of the amber liquid for 121 years. Always ready to move with the times and not wanting to rest on our laurels (whatever they may be?), we came up with the idea of making another type of brew.

Brilliance, some might say, but we just prefer to think of it as a natural phase in the 'general order of all things good and right'.

It is a concoction of 5 specially selected malts, NZ hops and fresh water from the Mangatainoka River, giving a charred malt flavour balanced with a touch of bitterness and a refreshing finish leaving you wanting to go back for another.

Perfect to wash down a hearty feed of classic Kiwi fare. Goes down brilliantly with steak and mushroom pie, Sunday pub roast, a good feed of fish & chips or the odd unlucky Mangatainoka brown trout.
